Trusting In GOD’s Timing.

     Trusting in GOD’s Timing.

In a world where instant gratification is the norm and patience seems like a lost virtue, trusting in GOD’s timing can be a challenging concept to grasp. As Children of GOD, however, we must learn to trust the LORD and His perfect timing for us. Throughout the Bible, we find reassurance and guidance on this very principle.

Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” This verse emphasizes the importance of relying on God’s wisdom rather than our limited human understanding.

Moreover, Isaiah 55:8-9 affirms, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” This passage underscores the profound truth that GOD’s ways transcend our own, and His timing is always perfect.

One of the most poignant examples of trusting in GOD’s timing is found in the story of Abraham and Sarah. Despite their old age and Sarah’s barrenness, GOD promised them a son. However, years passed without the fulfillment of this promise. Yet, Abraham remained steadfast in his faith, trusting that GOD would fulfill His word in His own time.

Genesis 21:1-2 recounts the moment when GOD’s promise finally came to fruition: “The LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did to Sarah as he had promised. And Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age at the time of which God had spoken to him.” Abraham’s patience and unwavering trust in GOD’s timing led to the birth of Isaac, the long-awaited promised child.

When we trust in the LORD’s timing, we open ourselves to His divine intervention and blessings beyond our comprehension. Our GOD is sovereign, kind, and loving, desiring only the best for His children. Though we may sometimes question why certain things are delayed, we can rest assured that GOD’s timing is always perfect.

As Children of GOD, let us heed the example of Abraham and trust in the LORD’s plan for our lives. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us of GOD’s good intentions: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

In conclusion, trusting in GOD’s timing is not always easy, but it is essential for our spiritual growth and fulfillment of GOD’s purposes in our lives. Let us surrender our timelines to Him, knowing that His timing is impeccable and His plans are for our ultimate good. May we find peace and assurance in His sovereignty, trusting that He will never fail us.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, help us to trust in Your perfect timing, even when it doesn’t align with our own desires. Grant us the patience and faith of Abraham, knowing that Your plans for us are good and purposeful. Strengthen our hearts to rely on Your wisdom and guidance in all things. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

GOD Bless You

At His Feet,
