THE LORD WANTS YOU TO SAFEGUARD YOUR TRADE SECRETS.
The word “trade secret” had been in my spirit, and I couldn’t shake it off. As I pondered on it, the HOLY SPIRIT began to remind me of the value of discretion and the importance of keeping things sacred and holy.
As Children of GOD, we often forget the importance of discretion. Sometimes we expose things that the LORD is speaking to us in the secret place too early. As a result, we often find ourselves in situations where we now must fight in prayer because we have now exposed something very valuable that the LORD has shared with us or an assignment that he has given to us too soon.
The enemy is very deceptive, and he knows that if he can abort the promises that the LORD has given us, then we cannot be a blessing to others as the LORD wants us to.
In business, companies guard their trade secrets with all diligence, and they protect them so that their secret recipe is not out in the open market.
When you expose your trade secrets you are revealing your secret and what sets you apart from others. An amazing example of a company that has a trade secret and has been thriving for decades is Coca-Cola.
Coca-Cola has a secret formula that is kept secret and inaccessible to the public and hence we see the importance of placing that vault on their secret formula which has given them such an amazing leverage in the beverage industry.
When I look over my life, I see instances where I had mistakenly spilled important information that the LORD had given me in “the secret place”. At that time, I did not discern that the people that I was sharing the information with were people who did not have my best interest at heart. Hence, I had a lot of assignments that were aborted before I could carry it out.
However, one of the things that I love about our GOD is that he loves us so much and nothing that we go through is wasted. Of course, now I am wiser, and I have seen the difference between being discreet and only releasing things when the LORD says I should. In the book of Proverbs chapter 12 and verse 23, the bible cautions us and tells us how we ought to go about knowledge that is sacred and meant to be protected.
Proverbs 12:23

23 A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.
Additionally, in the book of Proverbs Chapter 21 and Verse 23, the bible also highlights that those who guard their mouth can avoid problems for themselves.
Proverbs 21:23 (NIV)
23 Those who guard their mouths and their tongues
keep themselves from calamity.
So beloved friends if you have noticed a trend in your life that anytime that you disclose things too early and as a result your assignments or projects gets aborted before you carry them out. Then it is time to ask HOLY SPIRIT to help you and to increase your discernment so that you can know when to share things and when not to. Additionally, ask the HOLY SPIRIT to help you guard your tongue so that you do not share things before the timing that the LORD wants you to.
We serve a faithful GOD who loves us so much and he wants to see us thrive. GOD has an amazing plan for our lives, but you do not want to be the one who helps the enemy to abort your blessings. Wisdom is very important, anBibleis vital in our daily walk. The bible tells us in the book of James Chapter 1 verse 5 that if we lack wisdom we should simply ask and our Abba Father who loves us so much will give it to us.
James 1:5

5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
As children of GOD, we need to walk in a high level of discernment and constantly ask the HOLY SPIRIT to help us. And importantly when the HOLY SPIRIT gives you a prompting not to do something or not to share certain things with certain people, we should trust him and obey him. Knowing that the LORD knows the hearts of man and so if he cautions you then trust and obey and know that he has a reason for it.
When we look at the life of Joseph, we see that he was a man full of wisdom and he knew the importance of being discreet and this was very vital in his life. The LORD used him in a mighty way and even Pharaoh saw the greatness that the LORD had deposited in him. We see this in the book of Genesis chapter 41 and verse 39.
Beloved friends, I pray you will begin to walk in great wisdom and discernment. I pray that you will be able to realize how much GOD loves you and how much he wants the best for you. So, safeguard your trade secrets. Only reveal after the LORD tells you to and after “the Success”.
